§ PROBLEM

Pakistan's youth face a mental-health crisis with almost no professional access — while 80% of 13-to-35-year-olds are already online. Taskeen's first chatbot proved the demand: 14,000+ users, 90% of them young. The next system had to do more than chat — it had to teach, support, and know its own limits.

§ THE BUILD

WINGS is a generative-AI companion built for the school day. Structured psychoeducation — 25-to-30-minute lessons with 15-minute facilitated activities — is sized to fit a standard 45-minute class period. Between sessions, a support module carries the quiet work: mood tracking, a safe venting outlet, CBT exercises and calming tools, capped at 15–20 minutes of use a day. The model is trained on approved scripts only and rejects what it should not answer; trigger-word detection and an SOS button route any conversation that turns dangerous to Taskeen's helpline, in real time.

§ OUTCOME

A school-ready system that scales the part of care a counselor can delegate — and refuses to scale the part they can't. Crisis detection keeps a human at the end of every dangerous conversation. The model is built for nationwide school rollout.
